Job summary

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk works for the Operations Manager and coordinates the inbound and outbound loads to/from Quantix facilities. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk processes the paperwork necessary to facilitate these movements. Acts as the liaison between Carriers, Quantix Customer Service Representatives, Operations Shipping Department and Management to ensure that all inbound/outbound loads are being processed within the designated times in order to meet deadlines. 


Job Requirements

Responsibilities  

· Receive, organize and distribute inbound/outbound paperwork sent via email/hand-delivery. 

· Schedule inbound and outbound order activity internally and with outside carriers. 

· Receive and manage drivers at point of entry/exit (Gate or Window). Ensure final verification of all paperwork and seals prior to checking out of containers.

· Ensure all paperwork is checked, scanned, closed and delivered. 

· Handle all inbound phone and e-mail volume.

· Complete UPS/FedEx forms as required.

· Provide gate security, including monitoring access to the facility.

· Ensure accuracy of in and out volumes, ensuring containers and bookings are correctly matched.

· Conduct yard checks as required, including complete reconciliation.

· Additional responsibilities as assigned by site leadership.  

Requirements

Minimum requirements

· Strong Customer Service and interpersonal skills.

· Basic computer skills.

· Basic data entry. 

· Must be accountable, responsible, and reliable.

· Must be self-motivated & take initiative to get tasks completed under minimal supervision. 

· Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

· Ability to plan and organize time effectively in a fast-paced work environment. 

· Superior decision-making skills.

· Good communication skills, both verbal & written. 

· Must have prior Shipping & Receiving experience. 

· Transportation industry dispatch experience is a plus.

· Previous experience with Independent Contractor fleet preferred but not required.

· Safety is a job requirement. Safety always comes first. Always work safely and follow all safety procedures.

· Use PPE as required within specific facilities.
