INTRODUCTION 

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will plan and design methods to improve production processes and review existing processes and develop solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs. You will also ensure compliance with approved production methods and quality standards. 


 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

· Evaluate quality control processes and make improvement recommendations.

· Provide dedicated support for off-line products that fail tests.

· Conduct failure analysis/root cause determination and implement corrective actions.

· Resolve issues on production lines and in testing, including suppliers.

· Identify and recommend circuit card and subassembly design changes. 

· Review manufacturing defects from contract manufacturers to improve board assembly.

· Provide RMA status reports to the production team, customers, and vendors. 

· Propose and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO). 

· Verify release files to production are accurate and complete. 

· Provide the production team with ECO support instructions, including details and/or examples. 

· Interface between production and engineering to ensure design documentation supports manufactured products. 

· Inspect and verify first article and prototype builds throughout all assembly steps and test requirements. 

· Consult with the test group to ensure test software and procedures fit within production and engineering requirements. 


Requirements

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

· 5+ years of engineering experience with testing, RF, analog, digital, mixed signal circuit design, or digital signal processing

· Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and circuit card assembly, processes, and related industry specifications

· Proficiency with root cause corrective action (RCCA) investigations, resolving production issues with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers, and applying statistical process control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements

· Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams as well as both internal and external stakeholders

· Self-motivated personality and ability to work independently 

· Experience with ISO 9001, a plus

· Eligibility to work on Federal contracts that require U.S. Citizenship

Salary Description
$90k to $120k
