Job Title: Production Electrician – Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure

Job Summary: The Production Electrician works with the Lighting Designer and production team during preproduction and all event load-ins to design and install all lighting systems in accordance railroad safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Lighting Designer, Production Managers, and production staff to oversee prep, install, and maintenance of lighting systems
- Support and train the local crew operators and production team throughout the run of the event in the case of system problems or necessary troubleshooting
- Create all necessary documentation for onsite electrics crews to load in lighting equipment
- Specify and plan all necessary details of the lighting design to create a working system
- Oversee all shop prep of lighting equipment
- Oversee one or more Assistant Production Electricians who will provide support at load-in of events
- Be available throughout the run of events to answer questions and supervise the operation of lighting systems
- Work with the production staff during load out to see that event space is returned appropriately
- Responsible for seeing that the lighting systems are maintained with artistic integrity through the event
- Work with the production staff during technical rehearsals to incorporate last minute changes
- Communicates regularly with REP staff with regards to creative and practical ideas and decisions as well as project statuses
- Become knowledgeable with all of the REP policies and procedures as well as the REP-owned assets and equipment
- Become familiar with railroad safety rules
- Work with the entire event team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and guests
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Skill & Work Experience Requirements
- Experience as a theatrical technician, specifically a Production Electrician
- Experience with ETC EOS software and consoles
- Experience with wireless DMX
- Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and solve practical problems and resolve issues
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form

With a total cast and crew of 40-50 people onsite every day and the possibility of over 2,000 guests, our days can be chaotic.
