What you'll do at Lewer:

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Client Advocacy Advisor, your role is essential in helping employers select and implement comprehensive benefit packages that attract and retain top talent. Your work has a significant impact on both employers and employees, providing critical benefits that support their well-being and financial security. Your expertise in navigating the complex landscape of healthcare benefits is crucial for employers who rely on you to stay compliant with regulations and industry best practices. At renewal time, you work closely with employers to evaluate benefit packages ensuring budget alignment and goodness of fit. You coordinate market selection for new and renewal business and help employees gain access to critical benefits, including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, etc.


Your Key Areas of Impact

Client Satisfaction: You have a primary responsibility to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the services you provide. You are responsible for building long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and preferences, and offering customized solutions to meet those needs. The impact of your work in this area is reflected in client retention rates, customer satisfaction scores, and referral rates.


Risk Mitigation: You have a focus on mitigating risks for our clients. By communicating accurately and efficiently regarding coverage and/or benefit packages, you help clients manage and minimize their exposure to potential risks. The impact of your work in this area is reflected in reduced claim rates, improved loss ratios, and overall risk reduction for clients.


Compliance: Both insurance and employee benefits are heavily regulated industries. Your work as an account manager involves staying up to date with changing regulations, ensuring that clients remain compliant with laws and regulations. The impact of your work in this area is reflected in reduced legal risk, fewer compliance issues, and an improved reputation for clients.


Cross-Functional Collaboration: Your collaborative approach in working with various internal and external stakeholders is vital to the organization's success. Your effective communication skills, relationship-building, and teamwork foster a culture of collaboration and enable successful partnerships, benefiting the organization's overall business objectives.


The Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

Your work is conducted primarily at the Lewer Administrative Offices. On occasion, your work may be conducted at a remote location, such as a home office. You must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time, and be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. You will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer 95% of the time. You will need to be able to lift to 20 lbs. Travel is required for this seat and is less than 10%.


Your qualifications:

Requirements

You’ve received your bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, healthcare, or related field and you’ve spent three years in health insurance or employee benefits administration roles that have helped you increase your employee benefits knowledge and develop excellent client services skills. You hold a life and health insurance license or will within 90 days of hire. You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You are also proficient with Adobe and CRM systems.
