Corporate Development Manager
Description

Due to continuing growth, we are seeking a Corporate Development Manager to assist the Head of Corporate Development in sourcing, evaluating, performing due diligence and partnering with new acquisition opportunities. The Corporate Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Corporate Development and will have regular interaction with the C-level executives of the company. This Manager will support strategic decision making across the inorganic growth initiatives of the company. The company is headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT, and this role requires full-time, in-office presence alongside the Executive team.

What you will do:


Deal Sourcing and Strategy Development:

  • Build, animate, and ensure a continued deal flow
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic partnership opportunities. 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform M&A strategy. 
  • Assess the deal rationale as well as the strategic and commercial fit. 
  • Maintain deal process trackers and internal / external pipelines 

Financial Analysis and Valuation: 

  • Develop detailed financial and valuation models to assess target companies’ financial health and valuation 
  • Design adequate deal structures and mechanisms to ensure transaction success (earn-outs, incentive plans, etc.) 
  • Perform due diligence to evaluate risks, opportunities, and synergies associated with potential transactions. 
  • Identify and quantify synergy opportunities with potential acquisitions, creating actionable plans to maximize post-close value. 

Transaction Execution:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Development to drive and manage the entire M&A deal process from sourcing through due diligence to negotiation and closing. 
  • Work closely with PAG’s other departments (legal, finance, HR, operational teams, etc.) to ensure a thorough assessment of the target and compliance. 
  • Build internal and external memorandum outlining acquisition opportunities for stakeholders

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and the Executive Team. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with external advisors, including investment banks, brokers, due diligence advisers, etc., and PAG Managers to ensure continued connection to our M&A environment 


What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in accounting or finance preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or transaction      advisory services
  • Proficient understanding of M&A processes and transaction structuring. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor. 
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software. 
  • Proficiency in Hubspot and other CRM / deal sourcing tools
