Core Duties
Ensures operations are being maintained to the highest standards while always addressing areas for improvement within the Daycare
Oversees weekly work schedule for Canine Coaches and Rovers and submits to General Manager for review
- Stays within budgeted labor cost
- Minimize overtime
- Control labor by actively managing shift and determining necessary level of staffing
- Manages call0outs accordingly
- Maintains optimum staffing levels
Leads by example, positive attitude, and servant leadership
Motivate, train, and develop Back of House employees focusing on excellent customer service, exemplary cleaning and safety standards, strong dog control and care
Ensures all back of the house members complete the appropriate learning paths in a timely and complete manner
Conducts monthly One-on-Ones with back of house team members
- Delivers written updates to the General Manager on a consistent basis
- Actively communicates team growth and developmental needs to leadership team
- Follows-Up with team members on all requests, concerns, and goals
Actively assists in pursuing and hiring back o house team members
- Reviews applications
- Conducts phone and in-person interviews
- Consults with the General Manager on all hiring decisions
- Effectively on-boards all approved new hires
Communicates, tracks and assists with all significant pet parent issues and concerns, employee issues and concerns, and dog injuries, sickness, and behavior issues and concerns
Plans, prepares, and conducts daily shift huddles with other members of the team. Contributes consistently to monthly team meetings. Recommends employee incentive programs and other employee related activities
Oversees all Canine Coach activities, including but not limited to:
- Training
- Development
- Engagement
- Playroom Cleanliness
- Playroom Management
- Playroom Activities
- Scuffle Drills
Oversees all Rover activities, including but not limited to:
- Dog Evaluations
- Dog Feeding and Medication
- Spa Services
- Facility Cleanliness
- Dog Transportation to and from Playroom
- Wellness Checks
Clean and Safe Environment
To ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment, we take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete
- Facilitates, maintains, and updates cleaning and deep cleaning schedule
- Maintains facility cleanliness using the standards in the Dogtopia OSM
- Creates, utilizes, and manages Behavior Modification Plans for dogs with unwanted behaviors.
- Ensures correct usage of cleaning products for proper cleaning and sanitization as well as eliminating any waste
- Properly handle all of dog and employee injuries
- Maintains OSHA Standards
Health and Grooming
- As a member of the team, you will be taught how to bathe and clip when needed
- Will learn how to identify dog breeds and behaviors
- Report dog scuffles right when they occur for safe wound cleaning if needed
- Work with team to assure our Quality of Care sets the standards for dog care
Customer Service and Presentation
Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast paced environment
Excellent communicator and can speak consistently to our 3 Ss (Smile, Story, Satisfaction)
