Maintenance Specialist
Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure all systems, equipment, and structures are in good working condition.

Maintenance Lead


Responsibilities:

  • Overall Stewardship of Mercy Culture owned properties.
  • Maintain yard responsibilities such as mowing, weed eating and edging.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential maintenance needs or safety hazards.
  • Replace filters, light bulbs, and other routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive measures.
  • Work with outside vendors or contractors as needed for specialized repairs or services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, or materials as necessary for events, office relocations, or other needs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Steward other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs)
  • Comfortable working in various environments (heights, confined spaces, outdoors)
  • Ability to operate forklifts or heavy machinery
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Membership:

To be employed at the church, you must be willing to become a member of Mercy Culture Church.


Hours:
This position is full-time/40 hours a week. Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday. You will have Sundays and Mondays off. We are flexible with hours.


Pay:

Hourly Pay Rate $15 hr.
