The Additive Manufacturing Technician will support in Additive Manufacturing Technology (AMT) lab production and testing activities. The position will ensure quality and efficiency of printed parts, assist in maintaining equipment, and collaborate with the engineering team to optimize production workflows.

Computer Skills/Other Skills and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability to communicate effectively verbally to a diverse audience. Ability to follow directions accurately with close attention to detail with minimal oversight.

Experience with CAD a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3D printing machines.
• Ensure appropriate materials are selected for specific printing processes and monitor inventory levels.
• Perform necessary post-processing tasks on printed parts, including cleaning, curing, sanding, and any other required steps to meet design specifications.
• Inspect printed parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and quality. Collaborate with engineers to adjust settings, parameters, and drawings as needed to improve product quality.
• Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of 3D printers and other equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and quality.
• Work with engineers and production teams to ensure part design, prototype development, and material selection.
• Ensure proper part labeling and other relevant production data.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines for operating machinery, handling materials, and working in a manufacturing environment.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or technical certification; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
