Overview: Join our passionate Energy Certifications team and play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance. As an Energy Certifications Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the preparation, completion, and delivery of essential documentation, keeping us at the forefront of industry standards.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the process of coordinating and finalizing regulatory and compliance documents.
  • Supervise Raters including coordination of workflow.   
  • Provide leadership, direction, and training to other energy personnel. 
  • Remain informed of the latest software updates and rating techniques.  
  • Mentor other members of the energy team.
  • Coordinate the documentation of new product development through conception, design and layout, certification, pilots and full production under guidance from the Energy Certification Manager.  
  • Work with other departments as necessary to accomplish documentation in accordance with project schedules. 
  • Pursue and obtain RESNET Certifications (training and testing fully covered by Arcxis!).
  • Support the implementation of certification training for the team.
  • Keep up to date with evolving regulations and proactively analyze their impact on the department.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate departmental operating manuals and update them as regulations change.
  • Deliver compliance deliverables and contribute to departmental reporting.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to achieve strategic alignment.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders through excellent communication skills.


Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Define scope, assignments and deliverables that support goals in collaboration with senior management.
  • Set and continually manage certificate expectations with team members and other departments.
  • Plan and schedule timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful process elements.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals within established project timelines.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Ekotrope software, or similar programs.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with designers, field staff and other professionals
  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines 
  • Advanced mathematical skills
  • Learn about Arcxis, its history, services, employees, projects and clients.
  • Learn what systems and software programs are used within the Energy department.
  • Specifically, learn how to input data, file, organize, and maintain internal files and processes.
  • Produce residential and non-residential energy ratings with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity or willingness to learn about HVAC systems, such as heat pumps, and cooling towers
  • Ability to provide information on energy efficiency measures based on modeling outputs.
  • Ability to communicate technical details to energy team members.


Reports to: Energy Certifications Manager


Requirements

Education, Experience and Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • HERS Rater, Energy Star, DOE and Multifamily Certification
  • 4+ Years Construction Knowledge
  • Experienced in communicating effectively with a variety of audiences, including customers, clients, and colleagues. 
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment (internal and external clients!).
  • A self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions based on independent judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Commitment to maintaining certifications and staying up to date on industry advancements.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.


Supervisory Responsibility: Limited


Work Environment: Office


Physical Demands: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

Full Time 40 hours per week (8 Hours/Day) 

Office Hours 6am-6pm M-F

Salary Description
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
