JOB SUMMARY
Performs patient care activities and supervises patient care provided by members of the healthcare team. Takes and develops x-ray films. Cleans and stores supplies, instruments, and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an accredited Doctor of Chiropractic program required
Current state licensure required
Maintains CEU's in pertinent clinical practice according to licensure requirements
Training/experience in a healthcare practice preferred
Training/experience in x-ray
Understanding of Housekeeping requirements

5.1. Coordinates daily personnel assignments with members of the health care team
5.2. Assists in coordinating patient care activities with health care team members to provide for continuity of patient care
5.3. Assists health care staff in identifying and solving patient care problems
5.4. Assists with patient care activities during emergencies
5.5. Participates in primary care of patients and verifies that patient needs are met
5.6. Enforces the implementation of practice standards to provide quality patient care
6. Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and the physician.
6.1. Documents patient records and other forms according to policy.
6.2. Communicates information about the patient's status to others responsible for patient care.
6.3. Accurately comprehends and interprets verbal orders and directions
6.4. Performs assigned activities to provide safe and individualized care
6.5. Recognizes patient’s need for support and provides for privacy and confidentiality
6.6. Prepares equipment/supplies needed for care of patients and for performing diagnostic tests
7. Applies prescribed procedures to competently perform the radiology functions
7.1. Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition
7.2. Confirms that all persons in the room are properly shielded before activating x-ray
7.3. Follows manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA guidelines when performing x-ray procedures
7.4. Handles equipment and instruments correctly to provide availability and safety
7.5. Maintains adequate supplies to provide immediate availability during the procedure
7.6. Maintains a clean and organized work area
8. Maintains environment according to housekeeping and infection control policies and procedures
8.1. Follows housekeeping guidelines for cleaning responsibilities
8.2. Monitors contracted housekeeping activities for correct cleaning methods
8.3. Reports any damaged equipment discovered during routine cleaning
8.4. Handles hazardous waste according to policy
8.5. Uses cleaning agents and equipment according to safety, manufacturer, and Facility standards
8.6. Performs preventative maintenance assignments according to manufacturers’ directions
8.7. Monitors effectiveness of pest control service
