What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Emergency Technician Coordinator at MVA, you’ll combine your clinical skills with strong leadership to keep our emergency department running efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining workflow and managing treatment room needs, ensuring patient care remains a top priority.
- Assigning veterinary technicians to patients, overseeing shift roles, and delegating tasks as new situations arise.
- Coordinating and participating in patient rounds, updating and passing along critical patient information to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Providing hands-on patient care, including administering various treatments for in-house and outpatient cases, as well as positioning and capturing radiographs.
- Serving as a conflict resolver, investigating and deescalating conflicts among team members and clients in the absence of management.
- Ensuring protocols and policies are followed, guiding the team to uphold best practices and safety measures.
- Receiving call-outs and late notices, informing the appropriate manager, and determining if an on-call team member is needed to maintain optimal staffing.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with emergency veterinarians, department leaders, and support staff to provide life-saving care while fostering a positive, cohesive team environment.
Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following available schedules:
- Sunday – Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Sunday – Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Please note that some holidays are required.
Compensation
- Starting at $30.00/hour, which includes a Shift differential
- Sign on bonus of $5,000
