We’re excited to invite you to be a part of our wonderful team at Beautiful Cass Lake Indian Health Services in Cass Lake, Minnesota! We’re on the lookout for Emergency Room Physicians for some long-term locum assignments. In this role, you’ll be essential in providing high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. Your skills and commitment will make a real difference in delivering life-saving treatment to patients during urgent medical situations.

What We Offer:

- A long-term ER MD/DO contract opportunity with flexible hours (day, night, and mid-shifts available).

- Emergency Room experience as an MD is required—bring your expertise!

- Contracts for up to one year, with options for extension.

- We’d love to see 2-3 years of experience, and IHS facility experience is a plus.

- Previous locum tenens experience? Even better!

- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is Preferred.

- You can work with any U.S. medical license.

- Experience with both adult and pediatric patients is essential.


Your Role Will Include:

- Providing immediate medical attention to patients facing acute health issues or trauma in the emergency room.

- Conducting thorough examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting results to make accurate diagnoses.

- Stabilizing patients in critical situations by performing necessary emergency medical procedures.

- Working collaboratively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive comprehensive care.

- Keeping detailed medical records and documentation of your patient interactions and treatments.

- Making timely decisions on patient admissions, discharges, or referrals to the appropriate departments.

- Ensuring we’re all following hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards in our medical practices.

- Staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and emergency care protocols.

- Engaging in clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment plans.

- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and helping develop emergency department protocols.

Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license to practice in the USA.
  • Possess and maintain at all times a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Commitment to continuous education and staying current with medical advancements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be a US citizen living primarily in the United States
