Description

SUMMARY

Show and lease apartments through the use of effective sales techniques. Generate leads through advertising, mail, and proper prospect follow-up. Provide exceptional and consistent customer service.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the product as well as the rental community and local area.
  • Effectively present the model apartment to prospects and demonstrate its benefits and features.
  • Maintain resident retention program.
  • Develop knowledge of rental policies and procedures as well as daily administrative requirements of the management office.
  • Generate leads by calling corporations and prospects.
  • Acquire knowledge of property accounting procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of promotional programs, including creative newspaper advertising direct mail campaigns, and resident referral programs.
  • Perform administrative duties as directed.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
