Job Title: Suspension Technician

SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Suspension Technician provides technical support for racing activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Disassembles and assembles suspension assemblies with a high level of accuracy and cleanliness.
· Develops and refines suspension settings for race teams.
· Drives support vehicle for amateur and professional races to provide trackside support and services, as needed.
· Drives support vehicle to testing locations on an as needed basis for testing purposes.
· Uses the dyno independently to perform bench tests on shocks and forks.
· Responsible for keeping workshop area and testing vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
· Must use Microsoft office extensively.
· Works closely with other team members for information sharing and fostering new ideas.
· May perform warehouse, shipping & receiving duties.
· Provides customer service & phone support, as needed.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally, requires a minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in motorcycle performance work, with a focus on suspension preferred. Required proficiency in suspension components and suspension theory with high aptitude for mathematics Other required experience includes:
· Skilled in communicating and reporting test and race results.
· Experience with task management and race team coordination.
Must have a valid driver's license and currently possess (or is able to pass a DOT physical to obtain) a DOT Physical Card
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma required; technical, vocational, or bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Strong experience in Microsoft products – Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
· Strong math & statistical analysis skills
· Data visualization and presentation skills (charts, graphs, etc.)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organization skills and apt for attention to detail
Strong knowledge of the motorcycle industry; Passionate about the motorcycle industry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise in the work environment is usually moderate. Other factors are:
- Ability to travel if needed. Travel is extensive in this position; 80% expected travel.
