DSFederal Inc, is seeking an experienced Data Scientist. The AI Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing AI and ML solutions that align with business objectives, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and drive positive customer outcomes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Identify and leverage AI and ML opportunities within existing and new solutions to enhance functionality, user experience, and data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and utilize algorithms and statistical predictive models, selecting appropriate analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and predict future outcomes.
• Perform advanced analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems using sophisticated statistical techniques and mathematical models, with a deep understanding of the organization and industry.
• Assess model performance, accuracy, and scalability through rigorous testing, and recommend adjustments or optimizations based on data-driven insights.
• Conduct business and technical discovery sessions with customers to identify innovative solutions, architectures, and use cases that align with customer objectives.
• Assist in business development efforts related to AI/ML. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing the feasibility of AI/ML opportunities, serving as the technical lead for proposal development, and providing technical reviews.
• Serve as the technical expert in crafting application architecture aspects of AI/ML solutions and support the implementation process.
• Review proposed enhancements to validate feasibility and assist in scoping and estimating the required work.
• Present proposals to senior government officials clearly and compellingly, effectively bridging business needs with technical solutions.
• Provide recommendations for new AI/ML opportunities while identifying critical dependencies and gaps that could impact solution delivery.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and save time.

Experience Required

• 10+ years of experience in IT software or platform development.
• 5+ years of experience in data science and advanced analytics.
• Proven experience leading collaborative teams through development, integration, and testing processes, while implementing Agile and Continuous Delivery best practices.
• Experience briefing senior leaders and key stakeholders, and effectively coordinating cross- functionally with other teams and end users.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues and solutions to non- technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex tasks, utilizing available resources effectively with minimal guidance.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and coordinating closely with development teams.

Technical Skills Required

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis, modeling, and AI/ML solution development.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau to create insightful, data- driven reports and dashboards.
• In-depth knowledge of GenAI and AI platforms and solutions, including their application in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, including GCP, Azure, AWS, and Databricks, for deploying scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through written and verbal communication

•  Bachelors Degree
