Description
The West Coast Regional Sales Manager at Mate Precision Technologies is responsible for managing the sales activities of their team of Fabrication Specialists within the West Coast territory. This role focuses on achieving assigned sales goals, driving performance, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for coaching, sales execution, and business growth. To be considered for this role, the West Coast Regional Sales Manager must reside within the assigned West Coast Territory, which includes WA, OR, MT, ID, WY, CA, NV, AZ, UT, TX, OK, AR, MO, or NE.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to exceed regional and corporate sales targets.
- Lead and Develop Team: Mentor and train Fabrication Specialists, ensuring continuous skill development and accountability.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing expert guidance on industry-leading products and services.
- Market Insights: Gather and analyze market feedback to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Field Support: Work closely with Fabrication Specialists throughout the West Coast Territory, traveling regionally when necessary (50% or more), offering technical expertise and best practices to enhance sales performance.
- Performance Management: Monitor key metrics, including customer acquisition, sales growth, and product segment performance.
- Product Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to potential and existing customers.
- Competitive Analysis: Track industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Event Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and open houses to expand market presence.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily sales operations, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales management and other departments to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Residence within the assigned territory (West Coast) is required. The states within the assigned territory include WA, OR, MT, ID, WY, CA, NV, AZ, UT, TX, OK, AR, MO, and NE.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced technical education or a college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of sales and/or sales management experience in a related industry is required.
- Minimum of five years experience with fabrication tooling. Punch/Die, Press Brake, and Laser products.
- Ability to travel regionally as necessary (50% or more).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software; familiarity with CAD or programming software is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, and results-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, is required.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Lift and move up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay & Benefits:
- Total Compensation: $75,000 - $165,000/year (includes base salary + commissions and bonuses)

Salary Description
$75,000 -$165,000.00/year
