Summary of the Position
The Quality Inspector / Technician II will participate in incoming inspection, in-process QC inspection and testing and final inspection. Provide support to Quality Engineering to identify and remediate quality issues that impact production. Collaborate with other departments to uphold and improve quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of Quality Inspector I with minimal supervision.
- Lead first article inspections and generate reports for engineering review.
- Assist with training Quality Inspector I employees on inspection techniques.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of NCR trends and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Review and approve inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support process validation and qualification activities.
- Work closely with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance inspection efficiency.
- Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections.
- Provide input on updates to inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Required Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in Quality Inspection in a medical device company
- Recommended: Certification in ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to train and mentor junior inspectors.
- Proficiency in using advanced measurement systems such as optical comparators, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and multimeters.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles; prior training or certification is preferred.
- Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor, and moderate noise levels.

Salary Range
$41.01/hr - $44.57/hr (depending on experience, skills, certifications, and overall qualifications)
