We are currently looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team. As the Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the understanding and continued knowledge of all deposit operations functions including responding to the hunt group questions. The Operations Specialist performs job in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to employees and customers.
- Responsible for ACH/Check processing including the review of rejected items.
- Process bank by mail transactions, Return deposited Items, Interoffice Mail, Reg E disputes, levies, subpoenas and summons, IRS notices and corrections (1099R,1099-Int, 5498, B & C notices), government Death Notices and Reclamations, incoming and outgoing wires.
- Monitors, reviews and verifies transactions for bank account changes and new bank accounts including IRA accounts, Backup Withholding and IRA Withholding, Debit Cards & Overdraft privilege including approvals, requalification’s, Freshstarts and Collections.
- Monitors various account services including but not limited to: check holds, overdraft protection, preauthorized transfers, Moola Savings, Rewards accounts, commercial analysis, Reg D, closed accounts, address changes, abandoned property including notices, updates and state reporting, IOLTA reporting.
- Reviews/orders new/reissued Debit Cards within compliance as well as changes.
- Completes research requests.
- Files legal documents, Branch Misc and Check Batches.
- Assist co-workers with questions received via the hunt group line.
Qualifications
- Ability to research complex customer issues
- Proven ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional setting
- Ability to use office equipment including imaging system, fax, copier, computer and telephone
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to complete tasks with frequent interruptions and/or distractions
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; establishes and maintains effective work relationships with co-workers
Education/Training/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
INDEPENDENT ACTION
Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Manager where clarification or exception to Bank policy may be required.
