Who we are:

At Ragnar, we have built a premiere series of road and trail running adventures. While we are excited about the progress we’ve made over the past 20 years, we feel like we are just scratching the surface. We want to change how individuals spend their weekends and infuse adventure into their everyday lives.  


We are looking for Seasonal Event Staff to join our team. Our Event Staff work directly with our Gear team to ensure a logistically sound event and great runner experience in Ragnar’s on-site retail store as well as assisting with partner activations at races. This job is all travel, not in the office. All our events fall on weekends, and you must be able to work long hours during events. Employees in this position must have flexibility in their schedule to travel to at least 3 events in 2025 and must be a current resident of one of the following states: AL, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, KS, ME, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OR, PA, TN, UT, VA, WI.


What you will be working on:

  • Responsible for the setup and tear down of Ragnar’s On-site Gear store at each race
  •  Assembling tent(s), fixtures, hanging banners, stocking, and handing clothes/product
  • Transporting event equipment/fixtures/displays (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Packing and inventorying race product
  • Loading trailer(s) with equipment and product
  • Assisting with the setup and execution of partner displays and demos at races
  • Greeting and interacting with our runners in a positive manner
  • Answering customer's questions about merchandise/products
  • Assisting customers with purchase decisions 
  • Operate point of sale 
  • Working the registers
  • Processing payments
  • Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day
  • Assist with the setup, tear down, and execution of Glamping, Road Crew, or Partnership projects when assigned
  • Travel to at least 3 events in 2025 (typically April-October)  
  • Travel includes 5-6 days at a time (Tuesday or Wednesday through Sunday) 
  • Miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned

On-the-job training provided.


Requirements

  • Some previous retail sales and/or customer service experience 
  • Must have flexibility in schedule to travel to at least 3 events in 2025 (typically April-October) 
  1. Travel includes 5-6 days at a time (Tuesday or Wednesday through Sunday) 
  2. Ability to commit to schedule 8-12 weeks in advance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and multiple cross-functional project teams.
  • Possess a friendly, outgoing personality and a can-do, optimistic attitude.
  • Must be comfortable with physical labor (able to maneuver odd objects/equipment up to 50 lbs.) and working long hours
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather, heat, cold and/or humidity 
  • A background check is required for this position.

  • This is a physically demanding role. This role is required to spend long hours managing a large outdoor event. The role requires the safe operation of Box Trucks and utility carts. The role requires the safe operation of power/hand tools, the construction of simple structures, and the ability to transport event equipment (up to 50 lbs). To complete the essential functions, this role must be able to communicate with co-workers in spaces with moderate to loud volume levels. The role also requires using vision in various settings (such as but not limited to close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision). Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
