As our Project Accountant/Controller, you’ll have the unique opportunity to split your time between overseeing financial operations for various renovation projects and handling key Controller responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you’ll be instrumental in managing day-to-day finances, ensuring project budgets stay on track, and supporting our company’s growth. The ideal candidate will be driven to collaborate with colleagues, solve challenges, and make a significant impact on the company’s success.

This position is based in-office in Lynden, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end and year-end financials, conduct monthly reconciliations, and report on departmental budgets.
- State and Local Tax (SALT): Manage tax registrations, calculate and file returns, and research new tax requirements.
- Payroll and Job Labor: Manage payroll reports, ensure accurate general ledger accounts, and calculate project labor absorption.
- Project Accounting: Create and manage project budgets, update cost codes, attend project reviews, and report performance to management.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or certification preferred).
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with various accounting platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- A passion for problem-solving, growth, and collaboration.
