Nurse Practitioner
Description

Busy pediatric practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for 3-4 days per week to work on a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a pediatric primary care setting. S/he will work collaboratively with other practice staff members to deliver high quality care to a diverse patient population.  S/he will be responsible for providing the full scope of primary care services which fall under his/her field of training, including but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care, and health maintenance. This candidate should be passionate about providing patient-centered care and should be willing to make quality improvements to best service their pediatric patients.    
 

Summary of Duties: 

  • Performs assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients in a variety of visit types, including well visits, sick visits, consultations, follow up visits, and immunization visits 
  • Provides age-appropriate care for a patient panel ranging from newborns to young adults 
  • Properly refers patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary 
  • Maintains accurate and complete medical records in patient chart in a timely manner 
  • Works collaboratively with the rest of the practice’s staff to provide coordinated healthcare 
  • Engages in various educational and professional development trainings to enhance their ability to provide effective, efficient, and high-quality care and maintain credentials and licensures 
  • Shares knowledge with other team members to improve clinical practices and help maintain a collaborative environment  
Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Master of Science degree in Nursing program. 
  • Certified by the National Council Licensure Examination and licensed within Massachusetts  
  • Experience with using an EHR (electronic health records) 
  • Experience with and comfortable working on a team 
  • Passionate about working directly with pediatric patients and their families 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience working in a clinical setting as a nurse practitioner  
  • Experience working with the EHR system Epic
