Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior MEP Project Engineer to join our team and bring passion along with a proactive approach to teamwork. In this role, you will coordinate, and oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our cutting-edge building projects. You will work closely with multiple world-class firms in coordinating efforts to finalize the design of our buildings, ensuring seamless integration, functionality, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities with our external and internal partners including the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, fire protection, and water supply.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, internal and external project teams to integrate MEP systems into overall building designs.
- Work with multiple world-class firms in coordinating efforts to finalize the design of our buildings, ensuring alignment and consistency across all disciplines.
- Interpret detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar).
- Conduct site visits as and where needed to monitor installation progress, troubleshoot issues, and verify compliance with design plans.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure all MEP designs adhere to local, national, and international codes, regulations, and sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE).
- Optimize systems for cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability.
- Contribute to project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation in collaboration with project leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on building systems design (e.g., commercial, residential, or industrial projects).
- Demonstrated ability to understand calculations, simulations, and system analyses to ensure performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
- Proficiency in MEP design and analysis software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD, HAP, Trace 700, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including applicable materials and technologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including experience coordinating with external firms or stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with world-class firms and internal teams seamlessly.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices, energy modeling, and emerging MEP technologies is a plus.
Additional Details:
- This is an on-site role.
- We do not offer remote or hybrid working opportunities.
- This position is in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.
- The salary range is between $104,000 - $156,000 per year.
- Full-Time Benefits: After completion of a probationary period, you will be eligible for full-time company benefits.
- The ideal candidate must be available to start with two weeks of acceptance date.
