Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be an active participant in your technical training & development in all aspects of the Commercial Plumbing Department (estimation)
- Communicate with Plumbing Project Management team regularly to evaluate all aspects of project estimations.
- Monitor and enforce company and OSHA safety standards and policies.
- Review and coordinate flow of information to Project Management team.
- Write and respond to project RFI; provide pricing for project CO.
- Review estimates and contract documents for errors, correctness, and opportunities.
- Perform all aspects of developing preliminary and /or definitive detailed estimates and written proposals for labor, materials and equipment associated with mechanical projects.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and sub-contractor pricing for compliance with project specifications and drawings.
- Attend pre-bid site meetings to verify site conditions.
- Utilize Accurate’s estimating software. Assist in developing or modifying estimating templates plumbing.
- Reply to all RFP’s from general contractors.
- Assist in evaluating job boards for potential projects.
Performance Goals:
- Complete each job with zero safety or worker’s compensation incidents.
- Provide accurate and detailed estimates for all assigned jobs.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the project/organization.
- Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mastered all phases of Mechanical Contracting installation processes and practices.
- 8-10 years of experience in the construction/plumbing trade.
These duties are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned at any given time based on the assigned job.
