Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Structural Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in analyzing the structural integrity of our innovative building projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple world-class architectural and engineering firms to coordinate efforts in finalizing the design of our buildings, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze structural project designs for buildings, ensuring they meet safety, sustainability, and aesthetic goals.
- Thorough understanding of calculations, simulations, and modeling to assess structural loads, stresses, and material performance.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
- Work with multiple world-class firms in coordinating efforts to finalize the design of our buildings, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across teams.
- Thorough understanding of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, or similar).
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and verify adherence to design specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, national, and international building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Identify and resolve design or construction challenges through innovative problem-solving.
- Contribute to project timelines, budgets, and resource planning alongside project leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of experience in structural project engineering, with a focus on building design (e.g., commercial, residential, or industrial projects).
- Background in the design of precast concrete construction a plus.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Tekla, etc.).
- Strong understanding of construction materials (e.g., steel, concrete, timber) and their applications.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including experience coordinating with external firms or stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with world-class firms and internal teams effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and emerging industry trends is a plus.
Additional Details:
- This is an on-site role.
- We do not offer remote or hybrid working opportunities.
- This position is in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.
- The salary range is between $104,000 - $156,000 per year.
- Full-Time Benefits: After completion of a probationary period, you will be eligible for full-time company benefits.
- The ideal candidate must be available to start with two weeks of acceptance date.
