The company is headquartered in New York City and maintains a distribution facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Wholesale customers include numerous department stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor and Dillard’s, specialty retailers such as Amazon, as well as over 1,200 independent boutiques. Additionally, the company also has a fast growing Direct to Consumer (DTC) business via a company owned website (www.Lyssé.com). With significant growth potential, Lyssé has made it a priority to heavily invest in the DTC channel.


Job Summary


As a Social Media Intern, you will support and help shape the future of Lysse’s efforts across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of social media best practices. The Social Media Intern will manage multiple social media accounts and help develop content to inform, educate and engage the brand’s audience to increase awareness and achieve marketing goals.

Responsibilities Include

  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars across all major platforms.
  • Create and distribute content such as product launches, videos, product benefits.
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing content and campaigns.
  • Perform social media marketing research, including tactics to increase engagement.
  • Assist with influencer campaign strategy.
  • Respond to comments and DMs on social media.
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content.
  • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels.
  • Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience.
  • Help create and edit short-form videos.
  • Assist with photo/video content shoots.
  • Ensure brand message is consistent.
  • Report Campaign Success.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Ideal Qualities

  • College student looking for a career in marketing / ecommerce / design / Fashion.
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency of social media platforms.
  • Confidence to reach out to influencers and negotiate content.
  • Work with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design programs to create images and edit short videos.
  • Ability to research and make suggestions on how to improve our social media presence.
  • Ability to hit deadlines.
  • Dynamic, organized, detailed and time management oriented.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You are organized, take ownership of tasks, and have great attention to detail.
  • You can effectively communicate and manage complex concepts.

Salary Description
$18 per hour
