* Electromechanical Technician II
Description

Objective: To build, test and/or calibrate electromechanical systems or units by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures or templates and Inspect parts for surface defects
  • Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings as well as verbal instructions.
  • Review blueprints, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings for accuracy. Submit ECRs for needed changes in material or procedures. Inform Group Leader and/or Supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Repair, rework, or calibrate assemblies or systems, both customer owned and new builds, to meet operational specifications or tolerances
  • Create work instructions to be used by Electronic Assemblers to build products
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic instrumentation and circuit boards 
  • Route and attach wires and connectors to electronic circuitry, and/or sub-assemblies
  • Attach hardware and close units after final test and calibration
  • Utilize test equipment, like multimeters or test fixtures 
Requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  •  High School Degree ( or equivalent )
  • Associates Degree or 2 year Tech School ( or equivalent )
  • 2+ years related experience

Essential/Preferred Skills :

  • Knowledge of electric circuit boards, processors, chips. and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Use Microsoft Word to create work instructions to be used by Electronic Assemblers to build products
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic instrumentation and circuit boards 
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and written instructions 
  • Ability to carry out instruction in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to navigate Syteline ERP for material availability research and, at times, specific customer information.
  • Ability to utilize WMS (Warehouse management system) to perform Material Quantity Moves.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • Basic understanding of Lean practices 
  • Ability to work closely with others to form a strong team spirit
  • Basic Math skills are needed, along with the ability to utilize basic hand tools
