The Inside Sales Consultant is a self-driven sales professional with a tremendous reputation for cultivating and retaining relationships with key contacts to accomplish growth goals for LineDrive, our manufacturers, and distributor partners. 


Reports To: Inside Sales Manager

Location: Onsite role at home office in Itasca, IL


What it Takes To Be a Successful Inside Sales Consultant:

  • Manage existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory region
  • Network and keep in constant contact with distributors and occasionally with manufacturers
  • 30 outbound calls daily
  • Convert leads developed from our marketing team and client manufacturers into qualified opportunities
  • Proactively hunt for new pipeline through email and call campaigns created by the Inside Sales Manager, Channel Account Managers 
  • Partner with your aligned team of outside sales reps (Solutions Consultants) to help grow their current book of business and sales numbers 
  • Daily use of LineDrive's CRM, Salesforce, to report results to your manager and to conduct the day-to-day activity needed to be successful
  • Consistently hit quarterly goals for sales and pipeline growth
  • Educate customers and distributors on the ROI of product through Virtual Strategic Sessions focusing on product knowledge and needs assessment
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments with our partner manufacturers and distributor channels
  • Attend ongoing webinars and product training sessions
  • Additional tasks as needed


Requirements

Education:

  • Associates degree; required, Bachelor's degree; preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • 1-2 years customer service and/or sales experience ideally in manufacturing or distribution; required
  • Experience with business-to-business sales, inside sales, phone and email sales; preferred ·
  • Moderate understanding of CRM software, specifically Salesforce
  • Experience with industrial sales distribution; preferred but not required
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office tools; i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must be organized
  • Must possess high energy and drive with a real desire to build business
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers
  • Flexible when priorities shift
  • Ability to match information to situation
  • Ability to follow a sales system where closing is the end result
  • Decision making ability

Expectations:

Behavioral Metrics:

  • Holds oneself accountable to complete tasks without reminders
  • Persistent in building relationships with salespeople both internally and externally
  • Zeroing in on pain points to effectively communicate benefit

Performance Metrics:

  • Average of minimum of 30 phone calls per day over the prior 6 months
  • Closes 90% to close per quarter for prior 3 out of 4 quarters
  • 75% of end user bundle goal achieved in 3 out of 4 quarters

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel for trainings and or business meetings.

Salary Description
$50,000 to $60,000 per year + Commission
