SUMMARY
This position is required to perform a variety of duties related to the set-up, load/unload, machining, and measurement of large, complex parts. The employee will operate any of various CNC machines, including Horizontal Boring Mills, Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers, Vertical Double Column/Gantry Mills, and/or lathes of various sizes and configurations. The employee will also be able to use various inspection instruments to perform precise measurements of critical features. Generally, this position focuses on the manufacturing of low volume, complex parts, but the running of higher volume, less complex parts may also be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using drawings and verbal and/or written instructions, perform appropriate set-ups for the machining of complex, tight tolerance parts made from such materials as aluminum, steel, and various steel alloys in various forms to include but not limited to castings, forgings, extrusions, plate or structural forms, and weldments.
- Work with supervision and Engineering to ensure successful First Part production.
- Review feeds, speeds, and work holding equipment to ensure tight tolerances and required surface finishes are maintained.
- Maintain tooling and measuring devices to ensure they are in the proper condition for producing tight tolerances.
- Use large overhead cranes to load and unload parts from machining center(s).
- Perform and record measurements/inspections as required.
- Perform daily machine maintenance and cleaning and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Adhere to Safety policies and procedures at all times. Promote safety culture throughout the Plant.
- Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three or more years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Good work ethic and able to work in a physically demanding atmosphere.
- Good problem solving/analytical abilities.
- Able to read and comprehend work orders, work instructions, and specifications.
- Able to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Be able to climb, squat and stand on your feet for long periods of time.
