Description

Responsible for performing and coordinating maintenance and general upkeep of Bank buildings, equipment, and grounds. Assists Facilities Lead with preparing and updating plans and schedules for servicing, replacing, and/or upgrading equipment and mechanical systems. Assists Facilities Lead with reviewing estimates for equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.  


Essential Functions:

Maintenance 80%

  • Inspects and maintains interior of buildings, exterior grounds, and equipment on a set schedule
  • Maintains mechanical systems, electrical systems, as well as heating and cooling equipment on a set schedule
  • Performs facility maintenance where feasible in all Bank facilities
  • Completes maintenance-related work requests supplied by maintenance ticketing system
  • Works with department managers to ensure furniture, fixtures, and workstations are configured to meet their needs
  • Supports Custodian at all Bank locations as necessary
  • Operates small tractor, light shoveling and salting to support snow removal service at Winona locations as necessary 
  • Travels to complete duties at all Bank locations as necessary


Administration 15%

  • Works with Facilities Lead to develop and maintain reporting system for tracking building and equipment repairs and monitoring preventative maintenance
  • Supports Facilities Lead and Controller with plans and schedules for facility modifications, including cost estimates
  • Orders and picks up building supplies as needed
  • Supports Facilities Lead with arranging building and equipment repairs and servicing with vendors and contractors
  • Assists co-workers with facilities requests; moves furniture, equipment, and supplies as necessary 
  • Assists with Bank events as necessary
  • Supports and backs up Courier as necessary
  • Maintains system for storage and destruction of confidential documents; acts as liaison with shredding service vendor


Additional Duties and Responsibilities 5%

  • Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required
  • Other job related duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position

Works regularly with all co-workers. Works with suppliers/vendors and community/trade/professional affiliates. Occasionally participates in Bank events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-secondary (community college or tech school) training in construction, trade skills (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), facilities management, or similar is strongly preferred. Boiler license preferred, willingness to obtain within one year required. Must possess courteous and professional customer service attitude. Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems required. Must be able to conduct business analysis including data and information gathering and reporting. Must have intermediate skills with Microsoft Office. Must possess effective verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain the integrity of confidential client and Bank information. Must be a self-starter who can work with people at all levels both inside and outside of the bank.



Working Conditions:  

Work is performed inside and outside the building with moderate chance for personal injury. Regular auto travel between Bank locations. Regular mental and visual concentration for maintenance work and computer usage required; occasional use of telephone and keyboard. Regular exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazard. Requires near-, mid-range, and far vision; color vision, field of vision and depth perception. Will alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout work shift. Bend, kneel, stoop, turn, lift and carry up to 75 pounds of equipment and supplies; push up to 40 pounds of equipment and supplies; climb ladder and stairs. Work is performed generally before and during regular business hours with minimal expectation of overtime.


Equipment Used:  

Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, and other bank specific software. Utilizes a variety of office and maintenance equipment including computer printer, ten-key calculator, fax, copy machine, multi-line telephone; hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, snow equipment, chillers, boilers, and air compressors.

$20.94 - $31.41/hour (depending on experience)
