Job Summary

The Director, US Sales, Public Safety Market will be responsible for leading sales efforts, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share within the public safety sector (including law enforcement, emergency services, fire departments, other first responders, as well as the workplace, schools, concert venues and other public venues). This position requires a strategic leader with an understanding of trauma medical devices and/or the public safety community, and a proven ability to manage and mentor a high-performing sales team. This role will work remotely and can be located anywhere in the continental US that is within 50 miles of a major airport. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the public safety market, identifying key opportunities, customer      segments, and partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within public safety organizations, including procurement officers, department heads, and medical personnel.
  • Product Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on pre-hospital trauma medical devices, providing technical product knowledge and educating customers on their usage and benefits in the field.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives and account managers, ensuring they meet individual and team sales goals. Performs quarterly business reviews with direct reports, focused on created KPIs to drive top-line, profitable growth.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities within the public safety sector, through expansion opportunities with existing partners as well as new geographic markets, partnerships, and customer segments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, operations, supply chain, contracting and customer service teams to ensure customer needs are met and sales goals are aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Sales Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities. Present actionable insights to senior leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Budget: Participates in budget planning process and is responsible to manage departmental expenses to approved budget
Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all sales activities are conducted in compliance with industry regulations and company policies, especially those related to medical devices and public safety operations.
Requirements

  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum seven (7) years sales experience in medical devices, public safety or a related field.

• Minimum three (3) years of pre-hospital and/or Emergency Medical Services experience preferred.

• Minimum five (5) years of sales management experience required.

• Advanced computer proficiency to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint capabilities. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.

Physical Requirements

Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking. The duties also involve active hearing/listening, grasping, and reaching, as well as occasional lifting and carrying of product and supplies up to 50lbs. Vision requirements include close vision, the ability to adjust focus and color code.

Other Requirements

This position requires travel approximately 50+% of the time. International travel is rarely required but could be requested.
