DSFederal Inc, seeks an experienced Application Systems Analyst to support the Federal agency’s IT services program. The Application Systems Analyst is a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing web applications that enhance system functionality, security, and operational efficiency. The role involves assessing business requirements, designing and developing of new websites, ensuring system compliance with federal IT standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and optimize IT solutions. Application Systems Analyst will assess existing systems and recommend improvements or enhancements and also provide technical support and troubleshooting for application issues. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software application analysis, migration, system integration, content management, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyze business and user needs to define technical system requirements for web applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and designers to document functional specifications.
• Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of web-based applications.
• Ensure web applications follow industry standards, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Work with APIs, databases, and third-party services to ensure seamless system integration.
• Assist in data modeling, migration, and validation for application efficiency.
• Conduct system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web applications.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including system workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users when required.

Job Requirement

• Strong ability to analyze system requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Knowledge of backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
• Understanding of Acquia product stack (Drupal, PHP 9.0, Acquia Cloud, Acquia Site Factory, Acquia Lift, Acquia DAM, and Acquia Edge)
• Experience in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with APIs and web services.
• Knowledge and experience with Drupal upgrades, solution deployments and change management process.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deployment best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting application issues.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies for project execution.
• Strong communication skills for documenting system workflows and training end-users.

Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience in application analysis, web development, or system support.
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Knowledge of back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET).
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing web applications.
• Preferred experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for web applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certification Required

• Certifications in relevant areas such as ITIL, Agile, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are preferred.
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate-Preferred
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) -Preferred
• Acquia Certified Drupal Developer
