POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of IDS warehouse sites, ensuring alignment with financial goals and driving operational efficiency. This role involves managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting while collaborating with operations to optimize financial performance. The Finance Manager ensures that IDS maintains fiscal discipline, controls operational expenses, and supports cost-effective decision-making. By working closely with cross-functional teams, this position contributes to continuous financial improvement and supports IDS’s long-term growth and success.

 

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Act as the primary finance partner for warehouse operations, keeping updated on business developments and operational changes.
  • Collaborate with operations to drive performance towards financial targets and assess the financial implications of upcoming projects.
  • Manage and supervise operational expenses, ensuring all expenditures align with budgetary guidelines and are strategically sourced.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute accurate internal financial reports on a timely basis.
  • Design and oversee forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Lead efforts to adapt labor management systems to operational requirements, including setting up new project codes, work centers, and reports, to ensure efficient cost accounting and operational success across multiple facilities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve labor efficiencies through detailed reporting, ad hoc financial analysis, and process optimization.
  • Support key site metrics using continuous improvement methodologies, driving better financial and operational outcomes.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. An advanced degree or professional certifications (MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, with previous management experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and develop finance teams, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Must possess the ability to readily adjust priorities and effectively prioritize daily tasks.
