The ideal candidate will enjoy a team oriented work environment that offers a variety of duties, including MIG and robotic welding, as well as the opportunity to assist in other types of metal forming such as laser and press brake operation, and metal stamping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
2. Set up components for welding according to specifications.
3. Weld components/parts by operating MIG /Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to setup sheets specifications.
4. Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.
5. Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as, but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges, correct weld lengths and size.
6. Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.
7. May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines.

- Prefer high school diploma or GED or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing/welding experience preferred.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred.
- Ability to read measurements in metric and traditional scale.
