Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Oregon-certified teacher to support the development and implementation of a state-certified high school diploma pathway within the OpenEd program.
This is a part-time, remote position (with occasional in-person events, typically a few times per year) with the potential to grow into full-time.
- Collaborate with the Utah Certified Credit Specialist, Oregon high school team, and school partners through virtual meetings
- Support families considering a state-certified diploma pathway, both in-person and virtually
- Conduct 1:1 consultations as needed with students and parents
- Assist new students in determining whether the state-certified diploma pathway is the right fit
- Maintain an expert-level understanding of state, school, program, and curriculum requirements
- Guide 8th-grade students through the transition to the state-certified diploma pathway, offering weekly accountability, encouragement, and tailored learning support
- Identify at-risk students and coordinate interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate records
- Act as a liaison between students and School of Enrollment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Oregon teaching license (Secondary teaching license preferred)
- Strong understanding that every child is unique and benefits from individualized learning
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Kind, personable, and patient, with the ability to build relationships with students and parents
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills to navigate complex situations
- Familiarity with Google products such as Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc.
- Must have access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to maintain a work schedule of 20 to 25 hours per week

- Competitive hourly wage of $25.00 to $27.00
