Director, Human Resources

Director of Human Resources is responsible for the Human Resource management of assigned region and operations within AdaptHealth. Oversee various HR functional areas and projects to strengthen the breadth of their experience delivering on strategic HR initiative and contributing to the overall HR function.


Job Duties:

  • Manage HR business partners within his/her coverage area. This includes oversight of team’s develop, workload and overall performance.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters with an emphasis on reducing legal risk to the company, ensuring employee rights are protected and following proper investigation procedures including diligent documentation and escalation to Sr. Leadership when appropriate.
  • Partner with Sr. Leadership on HR needs of the business. Develop a true understanding of the operation and develop value-add HR initiatives which align and support with business goals.
  • Identify and implement areas for cost savings related to HR programs.
  • Develop and deliver programs which drive talent development and bench with the operation.
  • Identify talent and skill gaps and partner with operations on developing solutions and succession plans that address associated risk areas.
  • Direct and oversee the staffing needs of the operations, liaising with hiring managers and the internal talent acquisition team to fill open positions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational development planning, ensuring operations and department structures are evolving to meet our companies growing needs.
  • Identify and develop training programs which cater to our high potential and key employees, areas where enhanced or new skill sets are needed and to our leadership staff.
  • Drive all performance management effort within coverage area ensuring timely reviews are completed, merit and salary changes are aligned with performance metrics, and the performance management experience aligns with company philosophies and goals.
  • Assist with implementing compensation structures within operations, job groups and specialty groups (HIPO, Key EE’s, Succession efforts, Internal equity leveling etc.).
  • Drive all employee engagement efforts and formal plans as outlined by the overall corporate engagement strategy.
  • Develop and Report on HR KPI’s for your covered groups
  • HR Generalist Lead in New Acquisition Projects. Lead all HR Generalist integration efforts around all new acquisition’s activities.


Management / Supervision:

  • Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedback.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
  • Five (5) years’ experience in HR transactional experience required
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional Human Resource (PHR) professional credentials preferred
