Community Programs Intern

Coastal Villages Region Fund is currently accepting applications for our 2025 Community Internship Program. Since the beginning of the Community Development Quota program, CVRF has provided member residents with internship opportunities. The internship program prepares individuals for management careers and provides work experience at various levels of interest. The primary job responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, performing business operational tasks, analyzing, and participating in and learning more about company initiatives and goals.


Summary of Responsibilities:

• Assisting Community Service Center (CSC) staff in implementing programs

• Interacting with and guiding youth during YTW

• Provide customer service to residents

• Assisting with office related duties

• Promote programs particularly to individuals within their age group

• Other duties as assigned


This position reports directly to Departmental Supervisors.

Starting Wage: $15/hr – Status: Non-Exempt – Temporary Full-time (First Year $15/hr; Second Year $16/hr; Third Year $17/hr


Eligibility Requirements:


In order to be eligible to apply for CVRF's Internship Program, a candidate must:

•Be a CVRF community resident for at least 1 year (residency verification is required)

•Be at least 18 years of age or older

•During the period of this application, you must be enrolled in an accredited school (vocational, trade, college, university) or a recent (3 months or less) accredited school graduate, with a GPA of 2.0 or higher

•Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

•Most recent transcript showing current GPA

•Documents showing acceptance and/or enrollment in an accredited school as vocational, trade, college or university


Knowledge & Skill Requirements:


Successful candidates must possess the ability to represent the company in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret information is a must. Some personal computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, and the ability to create presentations are desired. A high regard for accuracy and attention to detail, along with strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines is desired. Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week under the supervision of designated CVRF staff. Assignments are made within a variety of departments.


CVRF has a zero tolerance Drug and Alcohol policy. As a condition of employment, selected applicants must have acceptable background and reference check results.


Physical Requirements:


In order to successfully perform the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to effectively remain in a stationary position for long periods of time, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, communicate with others in person and over the phone, and move about inside an office. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to life and move up to 25 lbs. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. This position also requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.


Work Environment:


Generally, this position is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and florescent lighting. It requires the regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
