Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
River Region Psychiatry Associates – Marks, MS (Quitman Medical Center)
River Region Psychiatry Associates is seeking a Full-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide compassionate care for patients in our 8-bed geriatric inpatient unit at Quitman Medical Center in Marks, MS, and provide outpatient services to local Rural Health Clinics
*All final candidates will be background and drug screened.
Position Details:
- Daily rounding on an 8-bed geriatric psychiatry unit
- Call requirement – 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month
- Outpatient in local clinics
- Collaborative team environment with physician support
- 1099 or W2 - open to what works best for you.

Qualifications:
- Active PMHNP certification and Mississippi licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience in geriatric psychiatry preferred
- Strong clinical and communication skills

Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing.
- Those six years are composed of a 4-year undergraduate nursing program followed by a 2-year nurse practitioner master's program that includes psychiatric nursing.
- Must have or pursuing a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting
- Must possess a State License to practice Nursing and it must be in good standing.
- Must possess the knowledge base in health promotion maintenance, advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment and pharmacology for advanced practice nurses.
- Must possess the following concepts: individual and family psychotherapy, psychiatric-mental health nursing across the lifespan, advanced assessment in psychiatric-mental health nursing and psychopharmacology.
