We are looking for a full-time Radiology Manager to join our team! 

  

This individual supervises all Radiologic Technologists within the X-ray department and their use of the equipment to assure that clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians are complete and performed to expectations. They will also make certain that the department functions at proper staffing levels for all clinic locations, oversees personnel administration issues, and equipment maintenance schedules.


Travel to all four locations may be required (Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove)


Job Responsibilities: 50% Administrative Allocation and 50% allocation working as an X-Ray Tech. 


Manager Duties (50%):

This individual supervises all Radiologic Technologists within the X-ray department and their use of the equipment to assure that clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians are complete and performed to expectations.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Radiology Department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Manage and optimize radiology equipment and resources to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to radiology technologists and support staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic imaging services.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and patient      satisfaction.
  • Participate in budget planning and management for the radiology department.
  • Stay informed about advancements in radiology technology and best practices and implement relevant changes to improve departmental operations.

X-Ray Tech Duties (50%):

  • Operates x-ray and auxiliary equipment
  • Processes images
  • Maintains clean equipment
  • Maintains required documentation


Requirements

SCHEDULE:

Full Time 40 hours per week. Dedicated weekly schedule to be determined.


WORK LOCATION:

Dependent on Tech schedule and needs of the department. Will establish a default home location upon hire and finalization of schedule. (Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove)

  

TRAVEL:

Travel to all four locations may be required (Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove) for work shifts and staff meetings.


EDUCATION:

Successful completion of a course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Active accreditation from the State of Illinois (IEMA)


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of a course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Active accreditation from the State of Illinois (IEMA)
  • Proficient in communication Systems (PACS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of Radiologic experience in a Physician practice/Hospital setting required.
  • Managerial Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role required
  • PAC Systems
  • C-Arm
  • MRI Experience a plus
