Description

Specialty Appliances Orthodontic Laboratory is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Specialist to support our growing manufacturing operations in Oklahoma. This role is responsible for executing HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and fostering a positive workplace culture with strong employee relations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of working independently while collaborating with leadership and employees across various sites. This is a remote position that requires the willingness to regularly commute between company locations in Tulsa & Moore, Oklahoma; our headquarters are in Georgia. We are growing so there is a possibility of additional travel to neighboring states. You will spend a majority of your time recruiting, administering benefits, overseeing time and attendance, and performing other Human Resource related tasks. This position reports to the Head of HR.


Part-time Schedule: 25-30 hours per week, flexible scheduling Monday-Friday (possibility of full-time in the future)

Requirements

  Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent work history, preferred.
  • 2+ years’ HR experience in roles with a focus on recruitment, time & attendance, and benefits administration.
  • HR Certification, a plus.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required for effective communication across our diverse workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across different locations.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between company locations in Oklahoma and neighboring states as needed.
  • Proficiency in HRIS Software and MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


Competency Requirements/Job Duties

  • Reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including reviewing applications, performing phone screens, and interview coordination.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process and conduct new hire orientation, including safety training to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Assist with employee newsletter showcasing benefits, safety topics, work anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants/employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; referring complex or sensitive matters to Head of HR.
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include resignations, terminations, and leaves of absence.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies across all locations.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reports while ensuring data confidentiality.
  • Travel between locations as needed to provide hands-on HR support.
  • Oversee all time and attendance functions; ensuring complete and accurate data.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including insurance and retirement plans.
  • Record daily attendance call-outs and tardies, notifying team leads and managers.
  • Plan and organize employee appreciation events and holiday parties.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional when dealing with all types of people.
  • Assist with other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Safeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the company’s Confidentiality Agreement. 
  • Follow all safety requirements and use personal protective equipment where required.
