Description

Vicasso's Bookkeeper role is an excellent opportunity for a strong financial professional to make an impact in an established Software as a Service (SaaS) business. This is a hybrid position, reporting to the Founder & CEO.

Position Summary:

Vicasso is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Bookkeeper to support its financial SaaS operations. If you’re an accounting professional with a passion for technology, a willingness to learn new tools, and an eye for efficiency, this role may be for you. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting while contributing to financial analysis and process improvements. Requirements


Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare & send invoices
  • Navigate payment networks and requirements
  • Apply cash receipts
  • Collections activities

Accounts Payable & Expenses

  • Report subscription changes to Salesforce
  • Manage charge cards, employee expenses; ensure adherence to expense policy
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost efficiency

General Ledger

  • Reconcile accounts (ex: bank accounts, deferred revenue, sales tax payable)
  • Ensure the proper coding of transactions and adherence to Vicasso policies
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and tax laws
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes (in accordance with the monthly checklist)

Managerial Reporting

  • Populate monthly financial summary
  • Produce, review, and distribute monthly financial statements
  • Prepare slides for monthly All Staff meetings
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and perform monthly variance analysis

Taxes

  • Review state sales tax returns and manage compliance
  • Prepare annual 1099 forms
  • Assist with audits
  • Annual income tax preparation

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including variable compensation and expenses
  • Calculate company-wide bonus program amounts
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile liability accounts
  • Reconcile commission payments

Other

  • License provisioning
  • Develop policies and standard operating procedures; lead the implementation of procedures and processes to ensure compliance with related policies
  • Maintain systems and controls verifying integrity of systems, processes, and data
  • Assist with annual budgeting
  • Maintain monthly financial forecasts and annual budgets, with a focus on department costs, expenses, corporate allocations and headcount (monthly review of budget variances)
  • Liaise with insurance company and respond to annual audits and true-ups
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Salary Description
60K - 80K DOE
