Cocktail Food Server


Position:  Cocktail/Food Server

Department:  Food & Beverage

The overriding and most important function of each and every employee is to either directly (by interacting with the guest) or indirectly (by providing the key support role in the guest experience) strive to provide the finest in friendly service and quality products. 

  • Accurately taking guests’ orders and following established serving procedures
  • Serving of beverages and food items 
  • Upholding of local, state and federal alcohol laws including the checking of I.D.'s
  • Being aware of and enforcing alcohol cut-off procedures
  • Handling of monies via sales
  • Preparing of some beverages and food items
  • Helping set & buss tables, stock service stations, greet and seat guests
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness of establishment
  • Use of cleaning agents
  • Knowledge and use of POS System (Preferably MICROS)
  • Knowledge of and communication of menu items to guests
  • Knowledge of all resort departments, programs and activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed or may be required to assist in other departments 



  • Must have good math skills
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Must be able to work on feet majority of shift
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 60 pounds hip level, 15 pounds frequently shoulder level
  • Must be positive, energetic & helpful toward fellow employees and guests
  • Must follow all procedures and guidelines as stated in the employee handbook
  • Must be flexible in work schedule
