Calvary Robotics is a Global Systems Integrator specializing in custom automated manufacturing systems in a variety of manufacturing industries. We are seeking a Strategic Market Development Analyst to support our sales and business development teams in driving growth and identifying opportunities in the custom automation industry. This role will focus on market research, competitive analysis, technology insights, and lead generations to provide valuable intelligence to our sales organization. The Strategic Market Development Analyst will be instrumental in helping the team understand industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to strengthen our sales strategy and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Sales Support
· Utilize lead generation tools to identify and compile key contact information for potential customers within our market segments. Support market segment leads by providing them with qualified leads, decision-making contacts, and company insights.
· Maintain and update a lead database, ensuring accuracy and relevance for targeted outreach.
· Work closely with sales account managers to prioritize high-value prospects and tailor messaging for engagement.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
· Develop and maintain a market intelligence database that tracks industry movements, potential opportunities, and customer activities.
· Provide quarterly market reports to senior management with key insights, trends, and recommendations.
· Assist in refining our go-to-market strategy by identifying which industries and customers align best with our automation solutions.
· Support business case development by providing data-driven insights on market demand and return on investment for targeted opportunities.
· Perform competitive benchmarking and analysis to understand competitor strategies, product offerings, and market positioning. Provide recommendations for strategic actions to stay ahead of competitors.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
· Work closely with marketing, sales, and applications engineering teams to provide insights that inform lead generation, promotional strategies, and customer engagement aligned with company strategy.
· Collaborate with the applications engineering team to align technical capabilities with market needs.
· Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay informed on industry shifts.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
· 2-5 years of experience in market analysis, lead generation, or a similar role, preferably in automation, manufacturing, or industrial technology.
· Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Experience using lead generation tools (i.e. LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
· Proficiency in CRM software; Salesforce preferred – to track and manage market data.
· Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively share insights with team.
· Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
