Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort is a premier destination offering exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. Our culinary team plays a crucial role in delivering a delightful dining experience for our guests. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team.


Requirements

Job Responsibilities


• Prepare and cook meals for customers according to restaurant recipes and guidelines

• Follow the restaurant’s health and safety regulations

• Monitor food stocks and place orders when necessary

• Check the quality of ingredients and inform the head chef of any discrepancies

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

• Ensure all dishes are presented and served in a timely manner

• Assist the head chef in developing new recipes

• Supervise and coordinate activities of other cooks

• Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition

• Monitor food waste and take steps to reduce it

• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to health and safety standards

• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner

• Train new staff in kitchen procedures


Job Requirements


• Previous experience as a PM/AM cook

• Ability to cook simple and complex dishes while maintaining quality

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to read and understand recipes

• Ability to accurately measure ingredients and follow instructions

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances

• Good communication skills and customer service skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
