As our Lifeguard, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary pool area while ensuring all safety equipment is present at and around the pool area at all times.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability
Job Requirements:
- Operate water slides by enforcing safety rules and regulations for water slides and discharge lanes
- Complete all daily water slide inspections/reports as required by the state
- Complete opening tasks such as cabana set up, removal of pool robot vacuum, pool deck checks, etc.
- Supervise guests' behavior on the water slides, water splay structure, and surrounding areas
- Document as required by state and local regulations
- Ensure all posted pool rules are being adhered to
- Maintain pool area cleanliness
- Complete closing tasks, such as sweeping the pool deck, cleaning cabans, straightening the pool furniture, taking out trash, etc.
- Ensure state capacity is not exceeded
- Ensure safety equipment is present and in working order
- Check the first aid kit for needed supplies on a daily basis
Job Qualifications:
- Lifeguard (required)
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
- Strong communication and organizational skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
