Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Accounts Receivable Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Biologic Team Lead to help streamline the biologic process, billing, and collection
  • Communicates with providers, nurses, managers, and patients to track Billing for the biologics process
  • Communicates on the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and directs calls and make appointments as necessary for the biologics process, if required
  • Runs reports to track biologics Billing and maintains integrity of patient billing records
  • Collecting all necessary documentation to complete timely and accurate submission of prior authorizations for biologics, as necessary
  • Interacts with clients, insurance companies, sales representatives, providers, and patients, as necessary
  • Follow HIPAA policies, billing and follow up procedures

Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications :

High School Diploma

Minimum 2 years of recent AR experience in a healthcare setting

Proficient with Microsoft applications

EMR experience – 2 years

Proficient in denial management

Experience working Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid plans.

Experience working in fast- paced, high volume, multi-provider practice.

Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
