California Faucets is looking to bring on a talented 2nd Shift Picker. This role is based on-site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 2:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The position will be rotational, helping to support the combined efforts of multiple positions within our Materials and Picking teams.
The Picking Team Member is a critical role within the company and has a direct impact on the quality and quantity of products that California Faucets provides to its customers. The primary purpose of this position is to support filling customer orders by picking material from inventory locations to support component finishing and product assembly. When performing these jobs, the following activities are required:
- Following instructions and locating parts on Pick Tickets.
- Notifying team leader of quality variances and parts shortages.
- Efficiently picking parts for finishing or final assembly and ensuring the correct number and type of part is obtained.
- Carrying or transporting orders to different staging areas utilizing material handling equipment, such as push carts.
- Reading and counting accurately, performing simple math, and writing legibly.
- Scanning tickets into the ERP computer system.
- Maintaining close communication with the Picking Lead and Inventory Control Specialists.
- Keeping picking aisles clean and organized at all times.
- Assisting other teams with picking and transactions of replacement parts, when needed.
- Filling in pick locations from overstock areas.
- Performing additional assignments per management direction.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
People Interface:
The position requires contact primarily within the department on routine matters. Contact outside the Production Department is minimal.

The position requires working from detailed instructions as well as the use of judgment to plan and perform general decisions to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.
Supervision Received:
Under general supervision, assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instruction on non-routine problems.
Accountabilities:
After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work or units completed per shift.
Education and Experience:
The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Someone entering this position should have at least six (6) months experience performing similar work in a related field.
