Position Summary:
Processes customer orders by preparing bearings according to established procedures with the objective of total customer satisfaction in the areas of quality and on-time delivery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the major activities in which this position may be involved.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying job card instructions, job schedule report and diagrams; gathering tools and materials.
- Maintains log of orders requiring Level I work.
- Processes bearings by following Level I work criteria to include: removal of seals/shields; removal of grease from bearings; removal and re-installation of bearing inserts as required.
- Assists in Easy Bar production by mixing raw materials, filling appropriate trays, and packaging orders as needed
- Ensures on-time delivery of customer orders by managing time and materials; informing operations manager of potential delays and/or problems in order completion.
- Occasionally prepares product for shipping to customer by packaging, labeling, and weighing shipment.
- Conserves resources by using supplies and equipment as needed to accomplish job results.
- Complies with ISO quality management system by following defined operating practices and procedures.
- Maintains job knowledge by working with more senior co-workers; asking questions of Operations Manager.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by keeping oil and scrap cleaned up around work area; following safety policies and procedures; reporting violations or needed changes to the Operations Manager.
- Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed.
Education and Experience/Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Basic Math Skills
- Forklift Operator’s Certification (training done in-house as needed)
Work Environment:
Incumbent works in a manufacturing plant environment. Conditions in the plant include low to moderate noise level. Incumbent is exposed to oil, polymers, solvents and other chemicals used in production or found in a typical manufacturing environment. Certain areas may have oil on the floor, creating slippery conditions.
Incumbent will be required to use a utility knife.
Physical demands include: standing, bending, lifting and moving objects up to 60 lbs.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm
