The Corporate Executive Chef is a hybrid role located in Vail, Colorado that has operational responsibilities at both the property and corporate levels. The role will be responsible for the executive operations of Slope Room kitchen, its back of house employees & all culinary/menu development. Role will be supported by chef de cuisine at the property level and will partner with Slope Room General Manager for all operational decisions, directives & initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Culinary Operations – Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including production, prep, special events, purchasing, and receiving while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
- Culinary Innovation & R&D – Utilize Gravity Haus Vail as a hub for research and development, testing new concepts, recipes, and platforms onsite to streamline execution across all locations.
- Standardization & Training – Develop and implement standardized recipe cataloging, inventory management, and operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Financial Oversight & Cost Control – Review sales, labor, and food costs, implementing purchasing programs and cost-management initiatives to meet financial benchmarks and optimize profitability.
- Team Development & Leadership – Train, coach, and mentor culinary teams, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Culinary Excellence & Menu Development – Establish best-in-class culinary standards, refining cooking techniques and leading menu innovation to elevate the guest experience.
- Operational Testing & System Optimization – Serve as a beta test site for new F&B programs, stress-testing systems before deployment across all properties.
- Vendor & Supplier Relations – Manage vendor partnerships, source high-quality local ingredients, negotiate pricing, and oversee purchasing specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Compliance & Food Safety – Uphold and enforce food safety protocols, temperature logs, product rotation, and regulatory standards to maintain top-tier health and sanitation compliance.
- Strategic Planning & Expansion – Collaborate on new restaurant openings, concept development, kitchen design, and menu implementation to support business growth.
- Guest Experience & Brand Alignment – Craft culinary experiences that align with Gravity Haus’ brand, delivering exceptional quality and service for members and guests.
- Industry Engagement & Trend Awareness – Stay current on culinary trends, best practices, and industry advancements while building relationships with suppliers and culinary professionals.

Location: This position is Vail Colorado-based, with travel to Gravity Haus locations as required.
