Job Title: Experienced Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Developer

Position Summary:
The Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for working with the Business Analytics team to define, develop, and support New Mexico Mutual analytic systems. The Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Developer is a developer in multiple ETL and BI tools, with the ability to commit to tight and demanding deadlines. One of the key goals for this position is to mentor other developers on the processes, best practices and use of the tools as well as be the go-to person to solve the more complicated issues that may arise during development.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and troubleshoot the existing ETL processes.
- Enhance existing and create new ETL processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot existing BI applications, including frameworks, cubes and reports and ensure the availability of Cognos reporting for the end users.
- Enhance existing and create new BI applications.
- Collaborate with the Data Warehouse Manager to design and implement data extraction programs that integrate seamlessly into BI solutions to meet the needs of the end users.
- Analyze data to ensure information is accurate and reconcilable to its source of origin. Perform quality assurance testing as appropriate prior to releasing data/information/reports into production / end users.
- Mentor other ETL and BI developers on the creation of Analytics applications and the proper selection of tools for the task.
- Onboard new members of the team to transfer best practices.
- Creation of Advanced ETL/BI applications in support of Business Strategies
- Ability to work on multiple ETL tools to support ETL migrations, that require synchronization of deliveries with the IT team and commitment to meet tight deadlines.
- Performance tuning of analytics applications for work performed by other members of the team.
- Review code developed by other developers and recommended improvements and best practices utilization.
- Collaborate with the Data Warehouse Manager to support all aspects of the DW/BI infrastructure including Informatica Cloud, IBM Cognos Studios, Framework Manager, Data Sets and Dashboards, IBM Planning TM1, and Motio.
- Develop, maintain and deliver technical documentation related to ETL development, scheduled processes, frameworks, transformations, etc.
- Support all administration aspects of DW/BI tools.
Job Qualifications
Education:
BS/BA in Information Management/Information Systems or related business experience. Master’s degree in computer science preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in DW, ETL, Business Intelligence development and support, preferably in worker’s compensation or a related field.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:
- MS Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle preferred.
- ETL (Informatica Cloud), Business Intelligence and OLAP Cubes (IBM Cognos) or similar tools
- Experience with data warehouse models, Ralph Kimball methodology preferred.
- Guidewire knowledge is preferred.
