Job Description:
Scope – Purpose of the position
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic National Sales Director – Food Solutions to spearhead our business development initiatives and drive revenue growth within the U.S. market. This role is pivotal in identifying new opportunities, creating innovative revenue streams, and solidifying our company’s position as a leader in the food solutions industry. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will oversee and mentor one direct report while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Design sales and marketing strategies to launch company Brands in the Foodservice and Club channels, identifying new key business opportunities, prospects and secure partnership with operators nationally to develop market presence and increase market share
- Lead, coach and mentor the internal sales team distributors sales team nationally, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent growing sales
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with existing and new clients, facilitating their daily operation’s needs, sales meetings, events
- Work closely with customers, prospects, marketing, sales teams to assist on New Product Development and set up once live on 1World Sync and specific customers platforms
- Ensure proper collaboration among the sales team, marketing, logistics, IT and customer service to deliver effective communication and smooth operations
- Guide and assist in creating solid P&L dedicated to each customer in line with market
- Set ambitious sales target and establish a roadmap to achieve them
- Attend and follow up on national and international industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and representing the Norac group
- Lead, support and develop the skills of one direct report to maximize performance
Marketing:
- Conduct benchmark and monitor market trends, competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and make strategic recommendations to the management team
- Participate in new product and existing product packaging development and improvements
Performance Management
- Monitor sales metric, ensure data base is updates with last push and provide regular reports to the VP of Sales
- Set weekly meetings with sales team to assess performance, discuss strategies and identify areas for improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Sales strategies and adjust as necessary
- Participate t obi-weekly meetings with the logistic team to maintain accurate forecasting and operation process improvement
Finance:
- Keep KPI in line with company strategies
- Ensure the budget is being met and spending respected
- Monthly review conformity of all orders and deductions invoiced and communicate updated budget to the accounting team
In addition to the specific duties outlined, you may be required to perform other tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary by your manager. These tasks will be relevant to your role and within the scope of your area of expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the food solutions, manufacturing, or FMCG industries
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring team members
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
- Travels requirements: 25 %
